The paper is moving.
The image compensates.
Between the first tower and the last, the web stretches. Cyan and black no longer register in the same place, and the reader sees a colored blur. Rather than trying to catch up with the mechanics, the image is distorted in the opposite direction before the plate is exposed.

01 — The phenomenon
A mechanical defect, a software fix.
Register shift is not a setup defect: it is the physics of paper subjected to tension and moisture. On high towers, the cumulative deviation is measured in millimeters. No manual registration adjustment can permanently compensate for it.
01
What the reader sees
Blurry outlines, tiny unreadable colored text, and faces losing their sharpness. The first instinct is to blame the print quality.
02
What it costs the workshop
Setup time, startup waste, advertiser complaints about misaligned logos. A diffuse cost, rarely quantified, never zero.
03
What the correction changes
A compensation calculated per cylinder revolution and per position, applied during separation. The press itself does not change; it is the file that arrives already corrected.
02 — Products
Correct, then verify.
Press Register
Electronic register correction for any press. The web press behavior is measured once to create a profile, and the workflow applies the compensation to each plate.

Arkitex PressRegister
The same principle applies on the ECO3 side, integrated into the Arkitex workflow. If your workshop is already on this line, it's the module that gets added without touching the rest.

Arkitex Veripress
On-screen proofing rather than on paper: we simulate the press rendering, validate it, and do not print just to see. Useful for sensitive pages and demanding advertisers.

What is your actual gap?
The first step is a measurement on your rotary press: number of revolutions, web width, paper type, speed. Without this, no one can tell you what the correction will achieve.
